European, Arab Activists Make Symbolic Refuge to Syria to Express Solidarity with Syrian People, Army

DAMASCUS, (ST)-A group of activists from 12 nationalities, including European MPs, writers and journalists, have made an initiative of symbolic refuge to Syria and Iraq to express their solidarity with and support for Syria and to stress their rejection of terrorism.

Some activists shared on social networking sites a video showing the participants on board of a boat raising the Syrian flag and chanting slogans supporting Syria and its army.

 The participants, who are from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Russia, Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Iraq and Syria affirmed their supportive stances towards the Syrian state, people and army in the confrontation of the Saudi, Qatari and Turkish-backed terrorism.
