Brussels (ST): EU foreign affairs commissioner Josep Borrell said that the EU foreign ministers were preparing to impose sanctions on Turkish officials and institutions because of the illegitimate oil drilling in Eastern Mediterranean.
In a press statement he made following the meeting of the European Council, Borrell said that the final touches were put on the black list of Turkish officials and institutions because of the illegal excavation works.
Earlier, Cyprus had repeatedly warned against the piracy acts committed by the Turkish regime which violat International legitimacy resolutions by conducting illegal excavations for oil and gas in the Cypriot territorial waters.
