EU organization has ‘compelling evidences’ that Saudi Arabia sent chemical weapons to armed groups in Syria
Secretary General of The European Organization for Security and Information in Beirut Ambassador Haitham Abo Said has confirmed that Saudi Arabia provided al-Nusra Front [Jabhat al-Nusra] and other armed groups in Syria with toxic gas.
He told the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper that the organization has compelling evidences that Saudi Arabia had provided al-Nusra Front [Jabhat al-Nusra] and other armed groups in Syria with ‘ Cyanogen chloride’ which they used in an attack on Khan Touman town in Aleppo countryside.
“On May 12, the armed groups used the ‘ Cyanogen chloride’ in Khan Touman town to slowdown the Syrian army’s advance in the area,” the ambassador said, referring to the chemical weapons previously found with the ‘Jaish al-Islam’ that receives support from Saudi Arabia.
“The chemical weapons were used against the Syrian army in Khan al-Asaltown in Aleppo countryside and in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus,” he added.
Moreover, Mr. Abo Said made it clear that the Saudi Arabia provides al-Nusra Front with weapons coming from Bulgaria.
“Every month, Boeing airplane takes off from Riyadh airport towards Sofia [ Bulgaria’s capital] to carry weapons and munitions, which are cheap there due to the deteriorating economic situation in this country, in order to send them to al-Nusra Front in Syria through Jordanian border,” he said.
The ambassador asserted the organization coordinates with the International Alliance for Defending Rights and Freedoms in France to sue Saudi Arabia for its crimes in Yemen.
” The case will be expanded to include the countries Saudi Arabia involved in their internal affairs, such as Syria and Iraq,” he affirmed.
Mr. Abo Said concluded by saying that Syria is the compass for regional and international settlements.
Dozens of world media reports have confirmed over the past few years that Saudi Arabia is among the countries that support terrorist organizations in Syria, including the so-called the moderate opposition, to destroy the country in accordance with the US-Zionist plot.
Since 2011, Syria has faced a foreign-backed terror war targeting its army, people, civilization, culture and infrastructure.
