Brussels (ST): President of the European Council Charles Michael affirmed today the EU’s readiness to impose sanctions on the Turkish regime because of the continuity of its unilateral practices , noting that Ankara continued its provocative acts and did not respond to any diplomatic initiative.
France Press Agency quoted Michael as saying in a press conference that the game of Cat and Mouse should stop in reference to the recurrent Turkish violations to the east of the Mediterranean.
Earlier, the EU had warned Ankara against the continuity of its provocative acts, noting that the forthcoming days would be decisive regarding the relations with Ankara.
The Turkish regime continues its provocative acts to the east of the Mediterranean through sending vessels to dig for gas opposite the Greek islands.
