“Eternal Life”, a marble sculpture by Syrian artist Aktham Abdel Hamid at Greece International Forum

The International Forum for Marble Sculpture in Crete Island, Greece, concluded on Friday after displaying the works of the artists who participated in this event. Prominent Syrian sculptor Aktham Abdel Hamid took part in the forum and prepared a wonderful sculptural work called “Eternal Life”.

About his participation in the forum, Abdel Hamid told SANA that he participated in this forum for the second time and his participation came at the invitation of the forum’s administration.

“The aim is to enrich the artistic and cultural dialogue between Syria and Greece,” the sculptor clarified.

Abdel Hamid added that his work was implemented in a large size and with white marble material obtained from the island of Crete and it took 23 days.

The forum witnessed a notable turnout by visitors who are interested in culture and art.
