Establishing a Prosthetic Center in the National Hospital in Qamishli 

Qamishli (ST) – The General Authority of Al-Qamishli National Hospital in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) established a center for prosthetics. 

Director General of the Authority, Dr. Omar Al-Akoub, stressed that the work to equip a prosthetic center in the National Hospital will start next Saturday, and will last for a month and a half until it is put into service.

He pointed out that the medical staff of the center, which consists of a doctor, a physiotherapist, and prosthetic limb fitting technicians, has been trained to start work once the equipment is finished.

Al-Akoub added: “The restoration of the physical therapy department in the authority has also begun, so that it will be put into service as soon as the maintenance and restoration operations are completed”.
