Erwani: Iran reserves the right to respond decisively to any Zionist aggression

Tehran (ST): Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Erwani, confirmed that the recent audacity of the Zionist entity’s officials to target Iran militarily constitutes a violation of international law and that Tehran reserves its right to respond.

In a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Interim President of the UN Security Council, Erwani referred to the threats made by the Prime Minister of the Zionist entity and his Minister of War last month, to use military force against the vital infrastructure and peaceful Iranian nuclear facilities, saying: “This bravado constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and the Charter of The United Nations, and Tehran reserves the right to respond decisively at the appropriate time and place to any threat and wrong action by this entity.

Iran’s permanent representative stressed that the UN Security Council should assume its responsibility and clearly condemn the hostile statements of the Zionist officials, which constitute a real threat to international peace and security.
