Ershidi: Imposing the embargo on the Iranian people is a crime against humanity

On February 15th, the Ambassador and Assistant Representative of Iran to the United Nations, Zahra Ershidi, said that the imposition of unilateral sanctions against the Iranian people by the United States and its allies, especially in the field of medicine and humanitarian goods, constitutes a crime against humanity.

“The illegal embargo measures have made it very difficult to obtain goods and primary medical supplies, which puts the lives and health of Iranian citizens at risk,”the Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Ershidi as saying in a speech during the annual meeting of the United Nations Social Development Committee.

Ershidi said that the provision of medicines and equipment Health commodities are facing serious obstacles due to severe restrictions on foreign exchange resources.

Ershidi called for the complete and immediate abolition of all unilateral coercive measures, including the embargo, with the aim of ensuring full access to economic and social development, which helps countries facing these measures to restore their economic conditions in the post-Corona epidemic conditions.
