Erdogan’s regime imposes heavy compensation on the arbitrarily dismissed military

Ankara, (ST) – The authorities of the Turkish regime continue their arbitrary measures against those opposing them, issuing a decision to compel thousands of arbitrarily dismissed military personnel from the army to pay large financial compensation.

The Turkish newspaper Zaman reported that after thousands of members of the armed forces were laid off work without any legal standard and flimsy pretexts, the authorities are now asking them to pay unbelievable compensation for the military training they received before their dismissal.

According to the figures announced by the Turkish Minister of Defense, Hulusi Akar, last February, the number of those dismissed from the armed forces reached 28,148 people.

On the other hand, and in the context of its repressive campaigns, the authorities of the Turkish regime arrested businessman Mabriz Mansimov Kurbanoglu, founder of the Bulmali Group for Maritime Shipping in Turkey under the pretext of his association with the Turkish preacher Fethullah Gulen.

Gurbanoglu denied the charges against him, as observers considered his arrest to be a manifestation of the power struggle that appeared recently within the Turkish system itself.

Erdogan’s regime invoked the attempted coup in Turkey in July 2016 and launched a wide revenge campaign in various parts of the country with the aim of getting rid of all opponents of its policies, during which he arrested and dismissed thousands of military, police and judicial officials and laid off tens of thousands of workers in various Turkish institutions and closed a large number of the media.
