Erdogan’s hostile intentions are doomed to failure

The brutal aggression of the Turkish regime against several areas in the Syrian Jezira constitutes a shameful violation of the international law and a blatant breach of the UN Security Council’s resolutions which confirm adherence to Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Taking the green light from his master in Washington, Erdogan immediately disclosed his   reckless and irresponsible behavior and hostile intentions towards Syria by starting a wide-scale offensive against the city of Ras al-Ein, al-Qameshli, al-Malekia, Tal Abyad in Raqqa city and other nearby areas. The savage Turkish aggression cannot be justified under any pretext other than Erdogan’s running after achieving his expansionist dream to revive the dead Ottoman Sultanate. The Turkish officials’ talk about the security of Turkey’s borders cannot justify the savage aggression, because Erdogan and his ilk have completely ignored the Adana agreement signed between Syria and Turkey. The atrocious attack caused the death of eight civilians and the wounding of twenty two others.

The statements of Turkish officials about borders security is refuted because the savage Turkish attacks did not only target Qasad positions. Rather they targeted the infrastructure, especially oil wells, cereals silos, and electricity and drinking water facilities.

By launching an offensive against Syria, Erdogan was trying to flee his internal ordeal represented by his loss of municipal elections and the splits that took place in his ruling party.

In fact, some of the Kurdish organizations are responsible for what is taking place due to their subservience to the US sinister colonialist project as the Syrian government has warned them against the adverse consequences of such hostile project. But they turned blind eye and a deaf ear to the warning and became cheap tools serving the US aggressive policy against their homeland and people.  It is high time for all misled citizens to return to the righteous road as the homeland can embrace all citizens.

Erdogan’s belligerent behavior and hostile intentions towards Syrian people disclosed his terrorist nature, and Turkey can’t be considered as a guarantor of Astana process. The Turkish brutal offensive has dealt a strong blow to the political process in Syria, and it will pose a threat to all hopes on reaching a political solution to the crisis in Syria.

Syrian people are determined to confront the Turkish aggression by all legitimate means and they will be able to foil Erdogan’s conspiracy.
