Erdogan’s attempt to create the so-called “safe zone” is rejected, says Czech politician

(ST) – Vice President of the Czech House of Representatives Tomio Okamura said that the attempt by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the President of the Turkish regime to establish the so-called “safe area” is a flagrant violation of Syrian national sovereignty, which is totally unacceptable.

Syria expressed its categorical rejection of the agreement announced by the US and Turkish occupation on the establishment of the so-called “safe area”, stressing that it constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and a flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

Okamura, head of the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party, said in a commentary published today that Erdogan’s goal is control of the region and to bring back the days of the Ottoman Empire.

Okamura criticized the EU’s negligence of its external borders for terrorists and for allowing Erdogan to blackmail Europe, describing his recent threats to send millions of immigrants to Europe as “total unacceptable insolence.”
