Erdogan openly calls for boosting Turkey’s relations with Israel, uncovers his false support for the Palestinian cause

President of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyib Erdogan doesn’t find it embarrassing to call for greater cooperation between his country and the Israeli occupation entity, forgetting his remarks between now and then in which he falsely criticized Israel over its savage practices towards the Palestinians.

In a phone conversation with the Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Monday, Erdogan uncovered the falseness of his claims on defending the interests of the Palestinian people by stressing that his country’s relations with Israel are “of great importance” and by reiterating the need to maintain contacts with Israel on cooperation in different domains, including energy, tourism and technology.

Erdogan has for many decades exploited the Palestinian cause for political purposes through making hollow statements in which he claimed enmity towards Israel to provide cover for his close connection with this entity. However, in his new phone call with Herzog, he openly abandoned this stance and clarified his solid ties with Israel and his disregard for the Palestinians’ interest.

Erdogan’s move to deepen the relation between Turkey and Israel and make this relation open without the need to hide behind the Palestinian cause was confirmed by a Turkish official in a statement to Israeli media outlets in which he said that it is time to restore relations between his country and Israel, in an attempt to cover up the close and continuous relations between the two sides.

Turkey’s relations with Israel began in 1949. They grew continuously under the government of the Justice and Development Party led by Erdogan who came to power in Turkey in 2002. The party has worked to enhance previous agreements with Israel, ignoring its remarks which show enthusiasm for the Palestinian cause, but hide a will to strengthen trade and military relations with this entity.

Despite all the money that the Turkish regime spends on media to promote a fake idea about its support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinians, the reports issued by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) drop all masks and expose traffickers in the rights of the Palestinians and their cause, as Turkey’s name does not appear in the list of donor countries.
