Erdogan Calls for Global Solidarity with Palestine

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized that supporting the Palestinian cause exceeds the defense of an oppressed people; it is fundamentally about safeguarding humanity, peace, and justice.

He condemned the silence of international media regarding the killings of journalists and the inaction of human rights advocates in response to the tragic loss of children’s lives in Gaza.
Erdogan asserted, “A world system that does not stand with the oppressed is destined to be a doll in the hands of the oppressors.”
He expressed disappointment over the failure of the Islamic community to collectively respond to the crisis in Gaza, warning that nations remaining silent about the suffering of Palestinians risk legitimizing the genocide by describing the resistance in Gaza as “terrorism.”
He urged the people of the free world, as well as Israelis, to take a stand against the humanitarian disaster created by their government. “We will extend all possible support to ensure that Palestinians can live freely in their homeland, and we will continue to defend the Palestinian cause, even if we stand alone,” Erdogan affirmed.
