Equipment arrived in Aleppo province to improve electricity services to citizens

ALEPPO, Jul.23, (ST)- Two convoys of trucks carrying equipment to improve electricity service arrived in Aleppo province on Saturday to be installed there.

These equipment are sent within the framework of following up President Bashar Al-Assad’s directives after his visit to Aleppo province to restore electricity to most areas that were destroyed by terrorism.

The Ministry of Electricity said in a statement published on its Facebook account that the two convoys included ten electrical transformers 400 kVA, and ten transformers 630 kVA, five prefabricated substations 1000 kVA, and a 630kva prefabricated substation, 12 Transformer 630 kVA, and 12 transformers 1000 kVA with their panels, in addition to all the equipment of cables to be put into service, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The agency quoted the Minister of Electricity Ghassan Al-Zamil, as saying that 50 transformers of different capacities have been ensured, including 44 transformers and 6 prefabricated transformer centers with all the necessary equipment to put them into service, and they will contribute to restoring electricity to more than 5000 houses.

The minister added that the Aleppo Electricity Company began to put these centers into service, successively, and investing them within a maximum period of one and a half months, pointing to the continuation of work to put 150 transformational centers into service by the end of this year.

The Minister of Electricity and the Governor of Aleppo visited a number of transmission centers that will be put into service in the neighborhoods of Salah al-Din, Mowasalat Qademeh and Qatirji, and they held a meeting with those who are concerned in the Aleppo Electricity Company to discuss the status of electrical transmission stations and to develop the work of the electrical system in the governorate, which contributes to improving electrical feeding.
