Enhancing media cooperation between Syria and Cuba

Havana, (ST) – Head of Prensa Latina News Agency of Cuba Luis Enrique González underlined the importance of enhancing media cooperation between Syria and Cuba in light of the fierce media campaign launched against the two countries.

 Gonzales, during his meeting with Syria’s Ambassador to Cuba Dr. Idris Mayya at the headquarters of the Agency in Havana on Monday, noted that conveying the reality of events in Syria and what it faces in attacks launched by terrorist organizations is a priority for the Cuban Agency which will continue to defend Syria’s just issue. González hailed the high-level cooperation between Prensa Latina and the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

 

Ambassador Dr. Mayya pointed out the important role played by Prensa Latina Agency in conveying the reality of the events in Syria to the public opinion in Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Dr.Mayya stressed that the media war waged against Syria and Cuba by major media outlets entails intensifying efforts and enhancing cooperation between media outlets in both countries to stand in the face of what they are exposed to.
