Enhancing Cooperation Between the Syrian Ministry of Public Works and UNDP

Minister of Public Works and Housing, Mustafa Abdel Razzaq, met with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) headed by Hala Rizk, Director of the Local Governance and Services Programme, to explore ways to enhance cooperation in the housing sector.

The two sides discussed mechanisms for supporting housing projects and setting intervention priorities in line with planning standards and the national housing strategy.

The discussions emphasized the importance of fair distribution of support and empowering communities for gradual recovery.

According to the Ministry’s official page, Minister Abdel Razzaq stressed the importance of providing technical support to the ministry’s vocational training centers, enhancing public-private sector cooperation, and the pivotal role of the Engineers and Contractors Syndicates in project implementation.
