Engineer Arnous discusses with Al-Musallam ways to support sports activities in Syria

On May 14thPrime Minister, Eng. Hussein Arnousmet with Hussein Al-Musallam, Chairman of the International Swimming Federation

Eng. Arnous stressed the importance of investing in sports in strengthening relations and spreading love and peace among different countries and peoples. 

Eng. Arnous pointed out the government’s readiness to provide facilities and support for the sports activities to be held in the future, in cooperation between the General Sports Federation in Syria and the International Swimming Federation

Eng. Arnous said that there are many infrastructures and sports facilities for swimming in the Syrian cities, to establish many sporting activity

In turn, Al-Musallam expressed the readiness of the International Federation of Water Sports in Syria to develop the sport of swimming and saidthat sport is based on the foundations of peace, friendship and cooperation in the interest of people.

It is noteworthy that the International Swimming Federation has provided external training grants to a number of Syrian athletes. 

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Qais Muhammad Khader, the Chairman of the General Sports Federation, Firas Mualla, and the Vice Chairman of the General Sports Federation, Omar Al-Aroub.
