Israeli enemy renews its violation of Lebanese airspace and water

Beirut, (ST) –   The Israeli enemy aviation and its warships renewed violation Lebanon’s airspace and territorial waters.

The Lebanese Army Command said in a statement today, “Five hostile Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace and carried out circular flights over the southern areas of Beirut, its suburbs, Baabda and the town of Kafr Kila, up to Beirut and over the western Bekaa regions, and then all left  the air toward the occupied territories.”

The statement added that a hostile Israeli gunboat violated Lebanese territorial waters opposite Ras al-Naqurah in three stages, indicating that the issue of the breach was being pursued in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.

The Lebanese Army Command reported yesterday that 13 Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace.

Parliamentary consultations begin to form a new Lebanese government

 In another development; Binding parliamentary consultations began in Lebanon today to form a new government.

Parliamentary consultations shall be held in two periods before and after noon, and they shall end at a quarter past in the afternoon.

At the end of the consultations, the Lebanese President, General Michel Aoun, will consult with the Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, on the results. Those who have obtained the highest number of votes will be summoned to inform them of their assignment.

Aoun had accepted, before the 30th of last October, the resignation of the Lebanese government against the backdrop of the popular demonstrations in the country, and he was asked to continue to conduct business in the country, pending the appointment of a new government.
