Enemy Aggression A Flagrant violation of Sovereignty:Cabinet

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Chaired by Prime Minister Wael al- Halqi , the Cabinet on Thursday held an exceptional session .

Topped the meeting’s agenda was the discussion of the  repercussions of the Israeli flagrant aggression on the scientific research center.

“the Israeli aggression on one of the scientific researches in Jimraya, Damascus countryside, comes in the framework of conspiracy to which Syria is exposed, adding “the time of aggression gives evidence on the coordination of roles and integration of stances between the acts of the Israeli enemy and those of the armed terrorist groups,said the cabinet.

” this heinous attack caused damages to the center and claimed the lives of two martyrs and the wounding of five persons,” Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense Fahd al-Freij addressed the cabinet.

The Minister linked between this attack and the aggressions of the armed groups, denying allegations of the Israeli foe that the reason of its raid was striking equipment and weapons prepared to be transformed to another place.

“the target of this escalation is to obstruct the international efforts aiming at resolving the crisis in Syria through dialogue and peaceful ways,underscored al-Moallem.

The following statement was released after the end of the meeting:

First: The Israeli aggression is considered as a flagrant violation of the national sovereignty of Syria and a violation of the international law principles and to the disengagement forces agreement of 1974.

Second: The aggression is considered as a danger that poses a threat to the region’s security and its states, as well as, it is an assertion on the hostility of Israel and a transgression of all principles and norms.

Third: The Cabinet holds the international community, the UN and Security Council responsible for the repercussions of the legal liability, and calls for a direct and serious move in the face of the Israeli arrogance and stubbornness.

Forth: The Cabinet underlines that Israel would have never dared to launch this attack unless the armed terrorist groups, spearheaded by, Jabhat al-Nusra,, had prepared and availed the practical circumstances to this act through its organized target against the air defense systems and radar networks.

” the acts of the armed terrorist groups and “Jabhat al-Nusra” are part of an Israeli-Qatari-Turkish plot which targets to overthrow the structure of the Syrian state through depriving it from the factors of its military and economic power as well as its national unity,concluded the statement.
