Tehran – Assistant Foreign Minister and Director-General of Gulf Affairs at the Iranian Foreign Ministry Alireza Enayati has affirmed that his country adopts a stable regional policy based on consolidating the current mechanisms of dialogue, focusing on common elements and good neighborhood relations and rejecting foreign interference which poses a threat to security and stability in the region.
Enayati, who was appointed as Iran’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, said in a statement on the occasion of the visit of the Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan to Tehran, which starts today, that “resuming the Iranian-Saudi relations and their return to their normal course, in addition to bin Farhan’s visit to Tehran, indicate the success of Tehran’s principled policy which is based on good neighborhood relations”.
He described the Iranian-Saudi relations as a coalition for peace and development.
Enayati pointed out that Iran and Saudi Arabia are two important political poles in west Asia region and that through their diverse capabilities they can play a decisive role in the equations of global economy.
The Iranian diplomat asserted that his country considers the security, peace and development of neighboring countries as its own security and stability, and therefore the idea of unity and coalition for peace, stability and development-oriented security was formed. He clarified that the determination of Iran and Saudi Arabia to enhance dialogue and diplomacy heralds a bright horizon for fruitful regional cooperation and for the achievement of all-out security and development.
