Emirati Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi is appointed as President of INTERPOL

On November 25th, the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) announced the election of Emirati Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi as its president.

The organization said via Twitter: “ Mr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi has been elected as president.”

It is noteworthy that the position of the President is honorary, while the Secretary-General of the organization handles the affairs of the organization.

Interpol is the largest international police organization established in 1923 consisting of the police forces of 194 countries and its headquarters is in Lyon, France.
