Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrives in Damascus

Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived today in Damascus as the first head of state to visit Syria after the fall of the former regime.

Emiri Diwan of Qatar said that Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa was the first to welcome the Emir (Prince) of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, at Damascus Airport.

The Qatari Emir was also welcomed by Prime Minister Mohammad Al-Bashir, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shaibani, Minister of Defense, Major General, “Marhaf Abu Qasra” and a number of officials.
