Embassy of South Africa in Damascus celebrates National Women’s Day

The Embassy of South Africa in Damascus will hold a hybrid lunch webinar on the occasion of the National Women’s Day at the Four Season Hotel in Damascus on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023.

The National Women’s Day event will be celebrated under the theme: “Women’s Socio- Economic Rights and Empowerment: Building back better for Women’s Improved Resilience”.

The objective of the event is to contribute to empowering Syrian women- owned enterprises by sharing experiences of South African businesswomen.

The webinar will shed light on several topics related to women in business, including experiences of women-owned Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) in South Africa, Using technology and social media to grow women businesses, ways to grow businesses in a challenging environment and the Syrian experiences in this filed.
