Electoral centers open their doors for voters to cast their votes in the presidential elections

Provinces (ST): At 7 am, the polls began for the presidential elections, and voters began to flock to the polling stations in various governorates to exercise their constitutional right to choose their candidate.

The election centers, which reached 12,102, opened their doors from seven in the morning, and the election process continues until seven in the evening. According to the General Elections Law, by a decision of the Supreme Judicial Committee for Elections, the election period may be extended for a period of five hours.

 

News correspondents in the governorates reported that the polling center committees in the Syrian governorates opened the ballot boxes in front of committee members and candidates ‘agents to ensure that they are empty of any paper and closed them in preparation for the start of the citizens’ voting.

Correspondents indicated that voters lined up in columns in front of the polling stations, waiting for their doors to open to cast their votes and choose their candidate for the post of President of the Republic.
