Egyptian Popular Committee for Solidarity with Syria Urges Restoring Full Syrian-Egyptian Diplomatic Relations
CAIRO-The Egyptian Popular Committee for Solidarity with the Syrian people has renewed its support to the Syrian state which has been fighting terrorism for more than five years.
Hamdi Ballat, the committee’s Secretary General, said in a conference held in Cairo to voice solidarity with Syria “we stand strongly against the terrorist groups which have wrecked havoc in Syria,” noting that the Syrian state is being exposed to a heinous Zionist war backed by traitorous Arab and regional regimes.
“We call on the Egyptian political leadership to restore full diplomatic relations between Syria and Egypt and to provide political, military and moral support for the Syrian state,” Ballat added.
He highly appreciated Russia, Iran and Hizbollah for their support for Syria’s war on terrorism, hailing the wise policy of President Bashar Al-Assad and the steadfastness and bravery of the Syrian Arab Army in the confrontation of terrorist takfiri gangs.
Ballat also mocked the Arab League’s stances on the crisis in Syria, stressing that this organization implements American administration’s dictates.
Other speakers in the conference expressed confidence that Syria will triumph over terrorism and conspirators and stressed that Syria and Egypt have been the shield that protects the Arab nation.
