Egyptian politicians and writers affirm the need to lift the unilateral western coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people
Egyptian politicians and writers have called for lifting the unilateral coercive Western measures imposed on the Syrian people, renewing their full solidarity with the Syrians in the confrontation of the schemes and conspiracies targeting Syria’s unity and sovereignty.
This came during the visit of an Egyptian delegation, which included Dr. Muhammad Sayed Ahmed, Professor of Political Sociology, Maher Abbas, Director of the Editing Department of Al-Jumhuriya Newspaper, and Muhammad Al-Fawal, First Deputy and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Jumhuriya Newspaper, to the headquarters of the Syrian Embassy in Cairo, and their meeting with Ambassador Hossam El-Din Ala, Permanent Representative of Syria to the Arab League and Head of the diplomatic mission in Egypt.
During the meeting, Dr. Muhammad Sayed Ahmed said: “The victory of Syria against terrorism and the global aggression practiced against it by Washington, the Israeli occupation entity and those supporting them from the conspiring West, are victories for all Arabs and for all the free people in the world.
Sayed Ahmed stressed the need to lift the unilateral coercive measures imposed against Syria in violation of the international legitimacy, pointing out that the West is trying to use the file of the displaced to put pressure on Syria, although the Syrian state wants all its citizens to return to their homeland.
On his part, the Director of Editing at Al-Jumhuriya newspaper affirmed that the Egyptian people realized from the beginning the conspiracy plotted against Syria, which was clear to all, stressing that the enemy of Egypt and Syria is one, which is the Israeli occupation and whoever stands with it.
Also, Muhammad al-Fawal, the editor in Chief of Al-Jumhurria newspaper, said: “Syria waged a major battle in order to preserve its sovereignty in the face of a fierce global war directed by several countries and entities against it.”
Ambassador Ala highly appreciated the sincere and principled stances of members of the delegation in support of Syria in the face of the comprehensive war it was subjected to, and in resisting the American and Western plans that continue their attempts to prolong the crisis through their economic blockade against the Syrian people.
The ambassador affirmed that the liberation of all Syrian lands from terrorism and from the American and Turkish occupations, the return of state authority to it, the lifting of the economic blockade imposed by the United States and the European Union on the Syrian people, and Washington’s cessation of plundering Syria’s natural resources are the correct approach to ending the crisis in Syria and eliminate its humanitarian and living repercussions.
At the end of the visit Ambassador Ala stressed the importance of strengthening and developing relations between Arab countries in a way that serves the activation of Arab collective action.
