Egyptian parties reassert solidarity with Syria in fighting terrorism

On the occasion of the 58th anniversary of the unity between Syria and Egypt, several Egyptian parties have reiterated their solidarity with Syria in its war against Takfiri terrorist organizations.

Head of the Egyptian Arab Socialist Party Waheed al-Oqsori  said that Syria is facing a ‘fierce conspiracy’ hatched by the Zionist entity [Israel], the US and the west . “But the Syrian army proved throughout the five-year old crisis that it has a superior ability in confronting  the conspiracy.”

He affirmed that the Egyptian people stands by the Syrians in confronting the crisis that faces their country.

On his part, Head of the National Conciliation Party Mohammad Refaat warned against the new colonialist plot that aims to fragment the region, referring to the steadfastness of Syrian people, army and leadership throughout the past five years.

“The colonizer realizes that unity between Syria and Egypt is inevitable ,” he added.

Source of pride

While, Head of the Generation Party Naji al-Shehabi said that Syria’s legendary steadfastness writes a new history that will be a source of pride and admiration for the coming generations.

“Arab unity is still the hope to achieve victory over the foes’ plots,” he concluded.

The late president Hafez al-Assad had exerted efforts during the seventies of the last century to establish an Arab alliance, which was embodied in October Liberation war in 1973.
