Egyptian parliamentarian: The presence of US forces in Syria is a violation of international legitimacy

Former Egyptian parliament member Margaret Azar affirmed that the continued presence of the US occupation forces inside Syrian territory is a clear and explicit violation of international legitimacy, stressing the need for those forces to leave immediately.

In an exclusive statement to a SANA reporter in Cairo today, Azar said that the sovereignty of the Syrian state is essential, and no state or group has the right to interfere in the affairs of the Syrian state, which, with its institutions and people, is the decision maker.

Azar drew attention to the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army in its battles to liberate the land and purify it from terrorist organization. She highlighted the deeply rooted relations with the Syrian Arab Army, noting that  Egypt and Syria have sacred ties and a civilized history, and they were one country and one people.
