Egyptian Measures to Disperse Muslim Brothers Sit- Ins

CAIRO,(ST)_ The Egyptian government has decided to take all necessary measures to withstand risks resulting from sit- ins in Rabia al-Adaweya and al-Nahda squares organized by Muslim brothers groups since the beginning of July.

In a statement read by Egyptian minister of Information Durria Sharf Eddine yesterday in a press conference , the government stressed :” continued grave conditions in Rabia al-Adaweya and al-Nahda squares, the acts of terror, terrifying people and blocking roads are no more accepted and  constitute a threat to the country ‘s national security,”  adding that” according  to people ‘s authorization  accredited to the state and in order to maintain the higher interest of the country, the Cabinet decided to take legal measures  to deal with blocking of roads and terrorism and therefore,  assigned the minister of the Interior  to take necessary measures in the context of the constitution and the law.”

Meantime, an Egyptian judicial source  said chairman of Southern Cairo Judiciary court Tamer al-Arabi brought the general guide of Muslim brothers  group Muhammad Bade’ and his two assistants Kheirat al-Shater and Rashad al-Bayoumi to Cairo ‘s criminal court under charges  of killing demonstrators before the  group’s main center in June .

The source explained that the decision to bring  Bade’   to the court was in absentia  because the police could not arrest him.
