Egypt supports efforts to reach comprehensive political solution to crisis in Syria, says Shoukry

CAIRO, (ST)_The Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said on Thursday that his country supports all efforts being exerted to reach a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Syria. 
 
Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry tweeted that Shoukry met in Cairo UN special envoy for Syria Geir Pedersen and the two sides discussed the situation in Syria.
 
Last month, Shoukry met Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Miqdad in New York  on the sidelines on UN General Assembly meetings. They discussed relations between the two states and the latest developments.
