Egypt Seeks Having Positive Role in Supporting Political Solution in Syria: Sisi

CAIRO, (ST)- President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt has stressed that his country seeks having positive role in support of efforts aiming at finding political solution to the crisis in Syria based on preserving Syria’s territorial integrity and respecting the Syrian people’s will to determine their own future themselves.

 In a dialogue meeting with chief editors of Egyptian newspapers, President al-Sisi said Egypt refuses the Syrian people or the Syrian state’s being hostage of extremist terrorist organizations.

“This is our stance on all other Arab causes, because we won’t witness recovery as an Arab region except through restoring these countries (the countries hit by terrorism), and through helping them get out of their crises,” al-Sisi added.
