Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Algeria and Pakistan offer condolences to Syria over earthquake victims

Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Alegeria expressed their sincere condolences to and solidarity with Syria and the Syria people in the face of the repurcussions of the devastating earthquake that hit the country this dawn.

In a statement on Monday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed Egypt’s readiness to provide assistance to Syria to alleviate the impacts of this disaster, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for its part, said in a statement: “The Kingdom is closely following up on the tragic events in Syria, following the earthquake that resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries.”

The ministry voiced the Kingdom’s solidarity and sympathy with and its condolences to the Syrian people over this massive loss and wished speedy recovery to the injured.

The Algerian Foreign Ministry also sent its condolences to the government and people of Syria and to the families of the victims of the devastating earthquake.

The ministry said in a statement that “Algeria shares with it brothers in Syria the pain of this horrible disaster, affirms its full solidarity with the Syrian people and expresses its hope that Syria will overcome this ordeal with much determination and steadfastness.

Moreover, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the Sultanate of Oman expresses its sympathy and solidarity with Syria, its brotherly people and the families of the victims over the loss that resulted from the deadly earthquake, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Lebanon expressed its deep sympathy and solidarity with Syria on the catastrophe caused by the huge earthquake that hit Syria this dawn and claimed the lives of hundreds of victims and injured large number of people.

Pakistan also expressed solidarity with the Syrian people, stressing that it is ready to provide all possible support for relief efforts to ease the impacts of the earthquake that struck Syria at dawn today.

In a statement, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry offered its deepest condolences to families of the earthquake victims.
