Egypt condemns Israeli attacks on Syrian territory

Egypt condemned the Israeli aggression on the town of Koya, west of Daraa, which resulted in human casualities and injuries.

Egypt affirmed its categorical rejection of Israel’s attempts to undermine security and stability in Syria.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement posted on its website: “We condemn in the strongest terms the Israeli incursion into the Syrian territory and the bombing of the town of Koya, which constitutes a continuation of Israel’s approach to strengthening its positions and expanding its control over the territories it has occupied within Syria.

Egypt categorically rejects Israel’s exploitation of the internal developments in Syria to seize more Syrian territory and undermine security and stability there.”

The Foreign Ministry added: “Egypt considers the Israeli attacks on Syrian territory to be a systematic violation of international law. It warns of the grave dangers posed by Israel’s aggressive policies and calls on the Security Council and influential international powers to assume their responsibility in confronting this dangerous escalation in Syria. It also stresses the need to respect Syria’s unity, stability, and sovereignty over all its territory.”
