Egypt Condemns Coercive Measures imposed on Syria

Member of the political bureau of the former Egyptian parliamentary party  Mohsen Attya  has condemned  the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria  by Western countries, particularly the United States,  calling for lifting these measures.

“Washington and the European Union  ( EU)  have been carrying  out  criminal policies against Syria stemming from their colonial ambition in the hegemony and the implementation of the dividing plans they desire” Attya said in a statement to  SANA correspondent in Cairo .

He  pointed  out that these  countries refuse to acknowledge their defeat before successive Syrian victories against terrorism, which does not change the reality of these great victories.

Attya indicated  that in light of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic, it is necessary to unite and ignore  political ambitions, stressing  that Washington and the  EU should give up   the policies of the economic blockade imposed on Syria.

He said that combating Corona requires a humanitarian stand and  the countries , which  have fought  Syria for 10 years, should    lift their unjust blockade imposed on Syria  so that the Syrian state can confront the Corona pandemic and provide all medical equipment and   necessary requirements for prevention and treatment.
