2,494 schools have been rehabilitated after they had been damaged by terrorists in a number of governorates. More than 2 million health services for pupils and students were provided by the Directorate of Oral and Dental Medicine at the Education Ministry.In the field of early childhood, the Ministry has issued the standards that must be met by nannies who work in the learning divisions of early childhood as part of the “Get Ready to Go to School” project, securing 200 kindergarten rooms in public schools and taking into account the integration criteria while launching the training guide in the field of children’s rights.
A number of examination centers have been opened in the embassies of the Syrian Arab Republic accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates to conduct the tests nominating for the general exams of the secondary school, in its scientific and literary branches. The aim is to activate the role of licensed virtual electronic schools inside Syria, so as to reduce the burden of travel on students and their parents.
The Ministry has reopened 31 teacher training institutes in different governorates in order to secure teaching staff for the basic education stage.
22 million copies of school tbooks have been printed and secured for transportation to all governorates by land and air.
15 virtual schools have been opened in addition to the launch of the second issue of the Syrian electronic educational magazine, and the establishment of remote learning courses for teachers to learn the skills of paper and electronic evaluation at the Center for Educational Measurement and Evaluation.
More than 76,000 students in 2,712 schools benefited during the academic year 2021-2022 from education according to the category B curriculum which aims at compensating for educational losses.
65 memoranda of understanding have been signed by the Ministry with a number of international organizations, associations and civil institutions to boost the education process in Syria. In addition, a number of cooperation agreements also have been signed with ministries and government institutions of friendly countries.
