Education Ministry launches joint plan on psychological and physical support for children in quake-affected governorates

LATTAKIA- The Ministry of Education on Monday launched the joint plan on psychological and physical support for children affected by the earthquake in Syria within schools and shelter centers in the quake-hit governorates. Work in this campaign was kicked off in “Martyr Saleh Mahmoud” School in Jableh.

The campaign, titled “By Hope and Work We Keep Strong”, was organized by the Ministry of Education, the Teachers’ Syndicate, the Baath Vanguards Organization, the Revolutionary Youth Union and the Syria Trust for Development,” according to SANA reporter. It aims at providing psychological support for the children, the parents and the teachers and at consolidating positive statuses and assisting in overcoming the ordeal, so that they can continue their life normally.

The campaign will be carried out by teams for social and psychological support, as well as for sport, musical and artistic activities, youth initiatives, social communication and for supporting teachers.
