Economy Minister: Participation in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum is an Opportunity to Strengthen Cooperation with Various Countries
Moscow- Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Dr. Mohammad Samer Al-Khalil said that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held in Russia was an important opportunity to meet with officials and businessmen from more than 140 countries to discuss the most important areas of enhancing cooperation between these countries.
“Syria participates in the work of the Forum at its twenty-third session and this participation is reflected in a government delegation as well as a delegation of businessmen,” Minister Khalil said in a statement on the sidelines of his forum.
He pointed out that the St. Petersburg Forum devoted itself over the past years to be one of the most important platforms of economic dialogue in the world to discuss the most important issues facing the global economy at the commercial and investment levels.
The events of the Petersburg International Economic Forum 2019 began on Saturday in the Russian city of St. Petersburg in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Shi Jinping and the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres and the participation of a number of heads of state and government of the world in addition to the ministers and ambassadors and representatives of the entities of the Russian Federation and a large number Of representatives of Russian and foreign companies.
