Economy Minister Discusses Economic Relations with a Number of Friendly Countries

Yalta – The Syrian delegation chaired by Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohammed Samer Al-Khalil, on the sidelines of the fifth Yalta international economic forum, discussed with Anatoly Bebelov, President of the Republic of South Ossetia and his accompanying delegation the economic relations between the two countries.

He said in an interview with SANA correspondent in Yalta that the delegation also discussed during his meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Abkhazia ways to strengthen economic relations between Syria and Abkhazia, as well as the stages of implementing agreements signed between Syria, South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

 

The delegation also met representatives of the Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic and a number of businessmen from different countries, pointing out that another meeting will be held later with the President of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov.

He pointed out that the special session held earlier today at the forum concerned the Syrian-Crimean economic relations and with the countries of the world.

The meetings were attended by Syrian Ambassador to Russia Dr. Riad Haddad.

Abkhazian Foreign Minister Dawur Koufieh said after his meeting with r. al -Khalil that his country and Syria are holding consultative meetings in a friendly atmosphere reflecting the deep friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

It is worth noting that the fifth international economic conference was opened in Yalta, the Crimean Republic of Russia, with the participation of 89 countries including Syria.
