Dweik: Development of Human Resources to Improve Banking Services

Damascus, (ST) — The Executive Chief of the International Islamic Bank of Syria, Abdul Qader Dweik, believes that immigration affected the “existing competencies in the bank.” The Bank trained these persons and created a talent team that contributed to the development of human resources and working methods to improve the level of services, improve performance and simplifying the procedures and at the end to earn customer’s satisfaction.

 

Mr. Dweik, in his speech to local press, said that the bank since its foundation in 2007, is working on developing the qualifications of staff and their expertise and increase production efficiency through training courses in the banking business, pointing to the strength and durability of the bank’s performance, which came as a fruit of successful and flexible strategy in dealing with variables current economic conditions and the bank was able to cope with these changes.

With regard to loans and financing, Mr. Dweik showed that the Bank is working to grant the necessary funding for the various economic sectors and to serve the requirements of development and processes of internal and external trade of economic feasibility and adequate safeguards.

He noted that operating income grew by a large margin and amounted to 168 percent to 6.6 billion Syrian Pounds by the end of the third quarter of this year compared with the same period of last year.
