During meetings with Chinese media, the Syrian ambassador in Beijing confirms the depth of historical relations between the two countries

Syria’s ambassador to China, Muhammad Hasanein Khaddam, affirmed the depth of the historical relations between Syria and China, pointing out that their continuation is evidence of their strength and an expression of the aspirations of the peoples and leaderships of the two friendly countries.

During several recent press interviews with Chinese media, Ambassador Khaddam referred to the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Syria and China in all economic, cultural and scientific fields, and to work to invite and encourage Chinese institutions to engage in the reconstruction process and introduce the new investment law in Syria and the advantages and incentives it offers.

Khaddam expressed thanks for China’s stances towards Syria in all political and humanitarian fields, and for the assistance China provides to the Syrian people to overcome their crisis and the repercussions of the war and the unjust siege imposed on them.

Khaddam also spoke about America’s practices and goals in Syria and the crimes it is committing, including the occupation of Syrian land, theft of oil and the capabilities of the Syrian people, and the destruction and burning of crops and livelihoods.

Khaddam pointed to the falseness of the Western media’s allegations about China regarding its internal issues, stressing that the makers and supporters of these false and inflammatory allegations, that Syria has been suffering from for more than ten years, are the same ones who stand behind them.

The Syrian Ambassador referred to US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s provocative visit to Taiwan in early August and conveyed the position of the Syrian state and the statements issued by it that support and stand in solidarity with the People’s Republic of China and denounce this flagrant violation of international laws and norms.

Ambassador Khaddam also spoke about his recent visit to Xinjiang, at the invitation of the Chinese side, pointing to the development and prosperity that the Chinese enjoy in it, regardless of their affiliations, in terms of well-being and progress.
