During a Divine Liturgy in Cairo on December 25th, Archbishop Krikor Koussa, the Armenian Catholic Bishop of Alexandria, called to establish security and stability in Syria, the country of love and peace.

Bishop Koussa said during the Mass: “We send peace and greetings to President Bashar al-Assad, and we are certain that our country, Syria, will remain the country that carries the torch of peace, love, intimacy and humanity to all people,”

Koussa also called for ending wars, establishing peace and unity among peoples, and building bridges between them to exchange their cultures.

The Mass was attended by Basil Scotti, First Secretary at the Syrian Embassy in Egypt, on behalf of Ambassador Dr. Bassam Darwish, Head of the Diplomatic Mission, and several diplomatic, official and religious figures in Egypt attended.
