DT’s role in sustainable development, investment of AR, digital mall are discussed in Damascus

DAMASCUS, (ST)_The  3rd Conference on Digital Transformation that kicked off on Friday  with the participation of Arab and foreign experts and academics continues its sessions for the third day running.

Strategic planning for the adoption of e-commerce and their impacts on economy was one of the topics that was discussed today.

Director of Strategies and policies in the Syrian Ministry of Telecommunication Mohammad Ali Mohammad said that the indicators of the telecommunication sector are being used for making decisions in all sectors and putting strategies.

Another topic  was the  electronic mall [also known as digital mall].This was reviewed by the participants, who asserted that such malls achieved great successes in many countries.  

Three sessions are to be held today to weigh up topics related to digital transformation technologies and their role in sustainable development and open data and the investment of Augmented Reality (AR) in e-learning as well as information security in the light of digital transformation in Syria.

The three-day event was organized by the Arab Federation for e-commerce in cooperation with the scientific committee representing the Arab Group for Exhibitions and Conferences.

Experts  from Egypt, UAE, Oman, Tunisia, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, Bahrain, Russia, Austria, Greece, India and Switzerland and Syrian private and government institutions are taking part in the conference.
