Drone Downed in the vicinity of the Green Zone in central Baghdad

An Iraqi security source announced today the downing of a drone within the vicinity of the US embassy in the Green Zone in the center of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.

Alsumaria news website quoted the source as saying: The method of the projection was done by jamming, or a technical defect that occurred in the drone itself, indicating that it has not yet been confirmed whether the drone was booby-trapped or for the purposes of reconnaissance or photography.

Sirens sounded in the area after the drone was shot down.
