HASAKAH, Jul.17, (ST)- The General Establishment for Drinking Water in Hasakah governorate has started to pump water to Hasakah City after a stoppage that lasted for 17 days because of attack launched by the Turkish occupation mercenaries on Alouk water plant
Director-General of the Establishment, Mahmoud Al-Oqleh, said in a statement to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) that the process of pumping water from the water tanks in al-Himmeh station towards the center of Hasakah City has started on Sunday noon after a stoppage that lasted for 4 days due to the shortage of the water caused by the attacks of the Turkish occupation mercenaries on the plant, either through stealing the electricity feeding the plant or stealing the water to irrigate the plants in the countryside of Ras Al-Ayn City.
Al-Oqleh noted that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to attack Alouk water project so the pumping of water to the rest of neighborhood will delay until refilling the tanks of Alouk Project and resume the pumping of water to the rest of the neighborhood of the city.
It is noteworthy that due to the repeated attacks on Alouk Project, the time needed for the process of pumping water for all the six sectors of Hasakah City and its surroundings needs three days as water re-pumped to each sector in 18 day.
