Dr. Mushawah meets with a delegation of the Syrian communities in expatriate country

Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mushawah, met yesterday with a delegation of the Syrian communities in expatriate countries.

The meeting was focused about the importance of building bridges of communication between the sons of the homeland and its institutions with the members of the expatriate communities and activating the role of expatriates in all fields of investment, especially the cultural ones.

Dr. Mushouh reviewed with the delegation the effects of the terrorist war that targeted the national identity of Syria, the attempt to obliterate its history and the unjust sanctions against it. The role of expatriates in breaking the unjust siege on the Syrian people as ambassadors and windows to their homeland that open to all parts of the world was also reviewed.

The meeting dealt with ways of technical and cultural cooperation and investment in publishing Syrian books, film production, holding exhibitions abroad, teaching Arabic to the Syrian community in expatriate countries, and helping the competent authorities in pursuing stolen artifacts.

The delegation included a group of doctors, university professors and businessmen from Australia, Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Spain, Italy and Austria.
