Dr. Marcus Papadopoulos to ST: Liberation of Eastern Ghouta Will Destroy US, UK Aspirations of Conquering Damascus

The liberation of East Ghouta from the Wahhabist terrorist organizations by Syrian army will destroy the aspirations of Washington and London of conquering Damascus and it will be an act of deliverance for the people of both East Ghouta and Damascus, according to Dr. Marcus Papadopoulos, British publisher and editor of Politics First, who asserted that every advance that the Syrian army makes, weakens the Wahhabist terrorist threat to UK national security.

In an interview with the Syriatimes e-newspaper, Dr. Papadopoulos made it clear that the American and British governments are falsely portraying the liberation of East Ghouta as the Syrian Government “slaughtering its own civilians” because Washington and London know that their aspirations of conquering Damascus, through the use of Wahhabist terrorist groups, are soon to be destroyed by the men and women of the Syrian army.

 He said: “Since the end of 2012, East Ghouta has been occupied by various groups affiliated to Al-Qaeda, who have been supported – politically, militarily and logistically – by the Americans and the British, in the hope that these terrorist groups would enter Damascus and bring about the downfall of the Syrian Government.  Despite Washington and London’s proxy terrorist groups having suffered irrevocable losses up and down Syria, as long as East Ghouta is occupied by these terrorists, a flame of hope flickers for the Americans and the British, that the Syrian capital can be conquered, which would result in the collapse of the Syrian Government.  In other words, the terrorist occupation of East Ghouta constitutes a potential knife to the heart of Syria.  However, now that East Ghouta is being freed by the Syrian army, bringing to an end a reign of terror for the region’s inhabitants, that has involved unimaginable crimes against humanity, the threat to Damascus is soon to be extinguished.”

“Once the men and women of the heroic, secular and multi-cultural Syrian army completely liberate East Ghouta, not only will the inhabitants of this region be safe from death but so, too, will the inhabitants of Damascus itself, who, for six years or so, have faced daily mortaring from the terrorists controlling East Ghouta.  Thousands of innocent men, women and children in Damascus have died horrible deaths at the hands of American and British-backed terrorists in East Ghouta.  The liberation of East Ghouta will be an act of deliverance for the people of both East Ghouta and Damascus,” the British political journalist added.

UK supports terrorist to achieve geo-strategic objectives

Concerning UK’s support for terrorist groups in Syria, Dr. Papadopoulos affirmed that Britain has a long history of supporting Islamic fundamentalist groups, in order to achieve geo-strategic objectives.  

“ London supported the [Mujahideen], including Osama bin Laden, in Afghanistan against the Soviets; assisted [Mujahideen] fighters and [jihadists] during the Bosnian civil-war; aided Al-Qaeda-affiliated groups in Libya against Muammar Gaddafi; and has been at the forefront in arming and financing the various Wahhabist terrorist groups in Syria, including the so-called Free Syrian Army.  Further to that, the British have an extremely extensive and powerful strategic relationship with Saudi Arabia – the heart of extremism and terrorism – which includes allowing mosques in the UK to be under the control of the Saudis,” he said

The British journalist went on to say: “ Now, in regard to Syria, the British have been supporting the different terrorist groups there for a number of reasons.  Firstly, by bringing down the Syrian Government, this would mark the end of Russian influence and power in the Middle East, weaken Iran’s standing in the region, result in Hezbollah becoming a diminished force, spare Israel of its arch adversary, and strengthen American dominance of the region.  Then, with the Syrian Government gone, Britain would be able to secure for itself lucrative arms, oil and construction contracts with the pro-Western Wahhabist authorities in Damascus.”

Colonial mindset

Dr. Papadopoulos underscored that Syria is the most recent victim of the depravity of the British establishment. 

“Britain’s role in the Syrian conflict is a demonstration of the murderous, violent, deceitful and lustful nature of the British establishment – depraved ways which were perfected during the time of the British Empire, resulting in the deaths of tens of millions of innocent people.  Whilst Britain lost its empire, the British establishment never lost its colonial mindset.  And Syria is the most recent victim of the depravity of the British establishment.”

Moreover, the journalist stressed that British officials are not only waging a terrible disinformation campaign against Syria but also against the British public.  

“British officials denigrate and discard what Syrian media outlets are saying about the true nature of the groups whom the Syrian military is fighting because, firstly, it contradicts London’s narrative of the conflict and, secondly, because it must not be known to the British public that the people whom the British Government is supporting in Syria, through British taxpayers’ money, are the same people, ideologically speaking, who carried out the heinous terrorist attacks in Britain in 2005 and in 2017.  Alas, British officials are not only waging a terrible disinformation campaign against Syria but also against the British public.  If the UK had a free and independent press, then ordinary Britons would know that the Syrian soldier is their ally in the fight against extremism and terrorism.  Every advance that the Syrian army makes, weakens the Wahhabist terrorist threat to UK national security.”

British media is not to be trusted

In response to a question about MSM reports on Syria, Dr. Papadopoulos replied: “ British mainstream media is neither free nor independent.  It is either owned and financed by the British state, such as BBC News, or owned by billionaire businessmen who are ardent supporters of Western global hegemony, including Sky News, The Sun, The Timesand The Daily Telegraph.  UK media is part of the British establishment and one of its most formidable weapons, used to justify, to the British public, the foreign policy of London, be it regarding the former Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, Russia and Syria, for instance.

Editors of British news outlets receive instructions and are fed with information about foreign affairs by relevant government ministers, relevant senior civil servants, especially the permanent under-secretaries, special advisers, and high-ranking officers in the British military and in British special services – MI5, MI6 and GCHQ.

British media is not to be trusted.  Indeed, no proper or legitimate court of law in the world would accept testimonies from members of the British press because they are not impartial.  Instead, the UK press is a tool of the British establishment. 

President Al-Assad is the embodiment of secularism and multi-culturalism

Asked about his impression about President Bashar al-Assad’s visit to parts of East Ghouta which have been liberated, Dr. Papadopoulos  said: “ I think the scenes speak for themselves.  President Assad was greeted with absolute jubilation by the inhabitants, who thanked him and their soldiers for freeing them from Wahhabist terror.  President Assad is the embodiment of secularism and multi-culturalism and the guardian of all ethnic and religious groups in Syria, such as the country’s 2.5 million Christians.  Justice, in the form of the Syrian soldier, is coming to the terrorists in East Ghouta; their days of committing mass murder is nearly at an end.”

He saluted the inhabitants of East Ghouta and their liberators.
