Dr. Maqdisi: Turkish and Gulf Stances Undermine UN Envoy Mission to Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ The Foreign Minister of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoğlu, is still continuing his adoption of a running-forward approach, rejection to make any critical reconsideration of the destructive policies, which failed on the ground, as well as in continuing openly the targeting of Syria’s security and stability, declared Dr. Jihad Maqdisi, the Spokesman for the Foreign and Expatriates Ministry.

In statements broadcasted by Syrian TV Tuesday evening, Dr. Maqdisi  pointed out the continued anti-Syria statements by Davutoglu, assert but further that he is still determined on the continuation of dragging and implicating the Turkish People in the policies of the Turkish Government, which no more enjoy, as has been crystal clear, consensus and consent, because these policies adopt stances not in line with the interests and nature of the fraternal and historic bonds binding the Syrian and Turkish People.

Dr. Maqdisi pointed out that the Turkish and Gulf non-commitment to the success of the declared halt of the Syrian Army operations during Eid Al-Adha has been crystal clear for all, which would but make them accountable for continued blood shedding in Syria.

The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry Spokesman underscored that the Turkish and Gulf stances openly undermine the mission of the UN Envoy to Syria, Akhdar Ibrahim, through their continued policy of financing, arming and sheltering the armed terrorist groups.

Syria would remain committed to the fraternal and historic relations with the Turkish People, and no government whatsoever could damage or spoil the Syrian-Turkish people relations, concluded Dr. Maqdisi.
