ISLAM ABAD,(ST)_ Speaker of the Syrian parliament Mohammed Jihad al-Laham discussed with Kim Wan Su , deputy head of highest parliament in the Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK) today on the sidelines of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly held in Islamabad ways to develop and expand inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries to be reflected positively on the peoples of the two countries and to strengthen the role of Asian Parliaments in defense of people ‘s legitimate issues.
Laham indicated the deep friendship and brotherhood relations between the governments and peoples of the two countries that have been deeply rooted over the decades and had a prominent role in promoting the two countries position on the international arena , stressing the importance of continued coordination in international forums and parliamentary meetings in serving the interests of developing countries.
He explained that the risks Syria has been experienced since two years and a half is but a global war led by the US through regional and Arab tools and executed by terrorist groups and Takfiri mercenaries who were recruited from more than 83 countries to hit and destroy Syria , pointing out that the delegation of Syrian parliament is taking part in the APA meetings in order to explain what is happening in Syria for members of the participating Asian Parliaments , especially in the light of misinformation media campaigns carried out by states and satellites involved in fueling the crisis in Syria.
He stressed that Syria ‘s steadfastness for three years before this international war, is due to the steadfastness of the Syrian people and their commitment to their army and leadership and commitment to its approach in resisting the policies of hegemony and colonialism .
For his part, Kim Wan Su , Vice President of the DRPK Parliament stressed deep friendship and brotherhood between the two peoples in Syria and the DPRK and that DPRK knows what is happening in Syria, and will continue to support the Syrian government and people..
He stressed that the solution of the crisis in Syria must be through the Syrians themselves through dialogue and without any foreign intervention , pointing out that the US supports and manufactures terrorism and that DPRK is still suffering the American aggression practiced by the U.S. administrations in an effort to control and enslave world’s peoples .
