DPRK President Warns of Imperialist Schemes Against Mankind Peace

PYONGYANG,(ST)_   President  Kim Jong-Un of the Democratic People ‘s Republic of Korea  DPRK  warned against the  danger of  imperialist interventions in the affairs of other countries and their aggressive military schemes, which threaten  peace and security of mankind so that the Asia-Pacific region including the Korean peninsula  becomes the most dangerous hotbed area in the world.

In his New Year’s message, President Kim Jong Un talked about relations with South Korea, and called for ending hostilities between the two countries.

“Achieving reunification is to remove confrontation between the North and the South. The past records of inter-Korean relations show that confrontation between fellow countrymen leads to nothing but war.”

The  DPRK President also vowed to develop friendly relations with countries which respect the country’s sovereignty and to safeguard regional peace and stability

President  Jong-Un  also indicated  space achievements made by  DPRK scientists through their success in launching Kwangmyongsongsatellites No 2 and 3, considering that this recent experience  proves how strong space science and technology and the DPRK national  ability in this area.
“Becoming an economic power is the most important task in our efforts to follow our great work of establishing a strong communist country.”

Kim says priorities for the country’s development are in coal-mining, electric power and metallurgical industries and rail transport.

He is also calling for an increase in agricultural productivity, and increased output of quality consumer goods.

However he stressed that military power remains a national priority for the country, highlighting it represented national strength and was key to a thriving country.
