Dozens of wanted people settle their status in the countryside of Damascus and Raqqa

The settlement process in the city of Daraya, west of Damascus countryside, continued on Saturday as dozens of wanted civilians and military service deserters visited the settlement center, established by concerned authorities at a school building in the center of the city, to settle their legal status, according to SANA reporter.

The aim is to help misled people to reengage in the society and return to normal life.

Head of Daraya municipality Marwan Obeid told SANA that last Thursday, the authorities in charge settled the status of 241 wanted people and military service deserters and “today, dozens have joined the settlement process which indicates their awareness and their keenness on the security of the homeland”.

Some of the people who settled their status hailed the great efforts being exerted by the government to complete the settlement initiatives in all areas. They called on other misled persons to join the settlement process and start a new life in which they can contribute to defending and rebuilding their country.

 Meantime, turnout of wanted people coming to the settlement center in Al-Sabkha town in Raqqa eastern countryside to settle their status increased in challenge to the obstacles placed by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) separatist militia to prevent the wanted citizens from reaching the center.

In addition, the Syrian provinces of Deir Ezzor, Raqqa and Aleppo also witnessed notable turnout by wanted civilians and military deserters who seek joining the settlement process and settling their status.

 These settlement initiatives are proposed by the state  with the aim of restoring security and stability in all the areas liberated from terrorism.
